History
The Hamamatsu Univeristy School of Medicine was founded in1974 by the Japanese Government, and the Urological Department was started by Prof. Yoshio ASO and Associate Prof. Kimio FUJITA on April, 1977. The hospital opened in the late autumn of the year.
Prof. ASO moved to The University of Tokyo in 1987. He became the president of the Japanese Urological Association, and also, the president of the International Urological Association.
